The Republic of Chile joins the Madrid System

Iraq joins the PCT Agreement

On 31 January 2022, Iraq has declared its accession to the PCT Agreement. Its membership will enter into force on 30 April 2022. 20 years after the end of the Iraq war, this marks a further normalization of the country. With its accession, Iraq becomes the 155th contracting state to the PCT (Patent Co-operation Treaty).
