The government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan has decided to join the Madrid System of Trademarks. The Madrid System will enter into force for Pakistan on May 24, 2021. From this day on, enterprises and natural persons can obtain trademark protection in Pakistan via the way of an International Trademark Registration. This will enable trademark applicants to obtain inexpensive and easy trademark protection in Pakistan and comfortable administration of trademarks in Pakistan.
By Pakistan’s entry to the Madrid System, the number of countries member of the Madrid System increased to a total of 124. Further information can be found here.
