Florian Roche

Graduate Physicist and master of laws (LL.M.)

Florian Roche, born 1969 in Wuppertal, studied physics at the University of Aachen, Germany (RWTH). He prepared his diploma thesis in Grenoble, France, at the Max-Planck-Institute for High-Magnetic Fields. The diploma thesis relates to aspects of fundamental research regarding physics of metals at high magnetic fields and very low temperatures.

Since 1996 Florian Roche has been working in the field of intellectual property in our patent law firm. He studied law for patent attorneys at the University of Hagen and completed internships at the Patent Chamber of the district court, Düsseldorf, Germany, at the German Patent- and Trademark Office and at the German Patent Court in Munich. He was admitted to the bar in Germany and admitted as European Patent attorney in the year 2000.

Between 2004 and 2006 Florian Roche performed post-graduate studies “Protection of industrial property in Europe” at the university of Hagen and graduated as one of the first 60 patent attorneys in Germany with the title “Master of Laws” (LL.M.).

Florian Roche joined the firm as partner in 2003. He advises his clients in all fields of intellectual property and is fluent in German, English and French.
